The shapes gig poster - VectorTuts+ community project
The aim was to build a gig poster for a fictionnal band (with a name related to vector stuff). I decided to do it in a fun and unconventional way.
I live in Lille (North of france) and there are a lot of small bands. A lot of bands that promote themselves by putting posters on the street. But the problem is that they all look the same, and your eye is rarely attracted.
So I thought : “Why not making something which in context, will be eye-catching, and funny ?” and also an object that people would keep. So I decided to present that factice rock band in a kind of “manual”, that you could read to know more about them and their music. With a touch of humor :)

First one of a series of three posters based upon musical signs. The idea came as I was watching crowds during gigs… I found that very funny how people use signs, each time they identify themselves to a “tribe”.
